Many things....

Mrs Dood got some real nice Dansko shoes from me....
Our son got a video iPod....
Our daughter got the Fender Strat Pac....
"Ranger" the Corgi dog got TWO toy "guys" to play with and a Tug-toy....

EDIT: I should add I got the family a Re-Make of the Classic game: Mystery Date...they have been wanting that for a long time and the originals on EBay are expensive....

Kids got usual bunch of gifts, including a telescope, the new Chronicles of Narnia game for Xbox, (which has some great movie footage included), and a mixed bag of other goodies. Game-wise I just gave away about 5 platinum, over 100 Christmas items, 4 obsidian shards, 5 CC shards, 5 ecto, and my current collection of gold weapons. Probably gave away the equivalent of 300 plat for the fun of it. Honestly, I got much more satisfaction from that then I ever had from selling them.

Green, don't worry about it. As an older person (30+), I promise you what you give is more enjoyed than anything else you'd purchase for more money.

For what I gave:
to my wife: Nothing yet. We agreed to save the money
to my dad and grandmother: Set of 3-handset expandable phone with speakerphone
to my sister: Winnie the Pooh slippers and a DVD player/surround sound system
to my mom: laser level and a pair of slippers
to my wife's mom: complete set of family recipes in a new recipe box (she lost all of them in Katrina)
to my nieces/nephews: LazerTag TeamOps set, make your own markers, WOW Worship CD, and a CD/Cassette boombox.
to my aunts/uncles/cousins: Blockbuster gift certificates and recipe box.
to my other grandparents: slippers and hand weights
to my brothers and sisters-in-law: Darth Tater and gift certificates
to our friends: more Darth Taters, Charlie Brown holiday DVD's, and gift certificates
for my family Bingo game: Black & Decker tool chest and UNO Attack game.

I guess that's about it. Got some pretty good stuff. But I got to see lots of family I haven't seen in almost a year so I love Christmas. All my family gets together at this time, and I literally do 4 Christmas's in a row. (Dad's family, Mom and sister, Mom's family, and Wife's family). All in less than 48 hours.

I have no idea what I got people. I think I got them something, but I don't know. Maybe. All I know is I didnt get very much in return for giving little, so its all good.

got my mom a handmade fleec blanket
dad got rechargable batteries (he was whinging his bats were not chargin and was mucho impressed i listened lol) and boozie chocks.
cat got a new flea collar lol and budgies got honeyseed sticks (yeah, im a big spender heheh)

best friend got a kneeling Anubis candleholder (thats the jakal-headed god of the egyptian dead, for those who say Huh?) and he is pointing at his right nipple as if to say....'some mean %@*! just ripped out my ring!'
he was way impressed with hish golden-painted pot-holding satue *grins*

gave best friends girl some vanilla talc and shower gel, since last time we were down town, she was looking for vanilla smellies (perfume)

and got myself.....a rotten headcold lol.

booger, handycrafts are your best friend
oven bake plastic clays, glass paints and ceramic paints and beads even are a must have.

if you have no cash, ask for your prezzies to be hobby kits then offer to do stuff for a few pounds/dollars
then ether look for poundstores (you will not BELEAVE the stuff you can get in some of them 0.o i got a copy of the dnd interactive DvD....a quid!)
or charity shops, what americans call thrift stores, i think? and garage sales

that simple glass photo frame, with some hard work and paints can become a cherished item.
and doing it can be fun, too. why, you can even end up making stuff fro a living
(and yeah, after 30 ish, or growing up too fast, the item iteslf, if well thought out is MUCH more than its value. knowing something is perfect for a friend, even if its cheap is the thing hehe)
